i pulled out a 9" ford rear end (don't know year or model) from my 39 ford coupe and replaced it with a 1980 ford granada 9" rear end... the difference is that the granada rear uses 1 1/8" caps and the other rear used 1 1/16" caps and the yokes look a little different.. the yokes are both 1330 series according to the 3 5/8 widths..... can i just swap out the yokes so i can hook my drive shaft back up????? thanks you all.

Sure...if the splines match up and fit... and the outside dia. of the yoke is the same so it will fit the grease seal......... then just swap the yokes out.

You can buy a 1330 U-JOINT with both size caps from NAPA.

Just to make life interesting - some 9" yokes are longer/shorter - and may influence the drive shaft insertion amount into the transmission. ain:
