I'm looking to install some headers on a transplant, The corvette headers 60's-80's seem like they will fit the best clearance wise, but I was told the exhaust stud spacing was different on the later heads/blocks and they wouldn't fit. I'm not using any accessory mounting holes so that isn't an issue neither is emmisions. Since there is an whole lot more knowledge out there than I have I wanted to check before buying something I can't return. The engine is from a 92 truck stock cast iron heads. Thanks, Eric

Exhaust stud/bolt spacing on SBC production/passenger heads is the same from 1955 to end of production. A variation in the late seventies put an extra hole on right side head for certain body styles. Original hole was retained. Some aluminum and Vortec heads retain same bolt pattern but have "Raised" roof ports that require a taller header to seal.
