In the process of moving my A/C compressor up to the top on an LS engine. To make the change I will have to buy a new "mini" compressor (Sanden SD7B10 7176). Researching the price goes anywhere from $300 down to $99. Play on words here because, like the Sanden 508 compressor there are knockoffs that say 508 STYLE. Some adds say "7176 style" and not SA7B10 7176 style. Are they the same? Anyone have a "mini compressor that says or doesn't say Sanden on it?

While on the subject of A/C I noticed the price of a 12 oz can of 134 to be anywhere from $8 ($5 in the winter) to over $20. Is there different levels of quality of 134?

Here's a "Sanden like" compressor. CAA told me that's what it is.....

It worked OK for the one season I used it before selling it.

I can't believe how expensive R134a has become! Last time I bought a case of 12 cans at Sam's Club, the price was around $45. Now it's $100. The brand is Johnsen, which has worked well for me in 3 vehicles with Vintage AIr systems. Wow, I see where the price is anywhere from $130 to $200 on Amazon!
