Here is a tip to be able to store paint in an unheated garage. I can't take credit for it but the guy told me it really works. If you have an unheated garage and have some paint and other stuff that you do not want to freeze, go to the local appliance store and get a used refrigerator that does not work. They would probably give it to you. Hang a 60 watt light bulb in the refrigerator. It will produce enough heat to keep anything from freezing. The refrigerator is super insulated so heat loss would be at a minimum. Just remember to not plug the refrigerator in if the compressor would happen to work but just hang a light off of an extension cord. This saves from having to store automotive paint and other combustibles in the house in the wintertime.
