I have a EZ wiring harness. Only one wire goes to the AC compressor and there are two wires coming off the compressor, a black one and a green one.
I,m sure one goes to the harness and the other goes to ground but which is which.

Your compressor needs to be fed from a relay. The wire from your wiring harness (for A/C) should feed the A/C control switch which energizes the relay. One side of the normally open relay contact should be connected to a heavier wire from a fused 12 volt source. The other side of the normally open relay contact should go to the power wire on the compressor. The other wire on the compressor is probably a ground, you can confirm that with a volt meter.
