Hi,
my name is Daniel from germany. I got a lot of good tricks from this board in the past.

At the moment I want to add an oilpressure and oiltemp gauge for my TH350. Has anybody an good idea where I can put the sensors at the tranny? Or is there a testhole or something like that where I can put it in.

Most weld/braze a pipe fitting bung to the pan for Temp sensor. Some install them inline one the trans cooler (out) line but, this method will give a higher temp reading as the fluid comes from the torque converter.

For the temp sensor in the pan, I just drilled a hole through the side of the pan just big enough to clear the threads on the sensor, put a nylon washer on the sensor, inserted in the hole, then screwed an NPT reducer (with another nylon washer) onto the sensor like a nut, from inside. Of course, the pan has to be off to do this.

I know my parts-dealer has this reducers. But till now I didn't know what to do with such an crazy thing. But your idea is great. I will try my luck with a reducer. Thank you.

As long as the sensor is covered it doesn't matter. Center of pan side is good. Make sure the sensor doesn't interfere with anything inside pan also.

Try not to block a pan bolt with the sensor... it makes getting a tool onto the bolt head difficult.
