Looking for info on heater assembly, removing heater box from fire wall on my 65 chevy truck, I have found an after market made by flex-a-lite is there any others or is it better to fab my own, any feed back would be great.

Like Bryan said Vintage Air,Coyote Air, Southern Air. The three that I mentioned look similar, but have mechanical differences. Some of the heater units have the switch mounted right on them and some are remote mounted. With or without defroster. As for heater control valve, in the heater hose, some are electric and some are vacumn. The Flexalite with the defroster box looks kind of bulky to me.
Let us know what you end up using and how it works out.
Have a good one,Smokey

I'm looking at that Vintage Air kit, too ... for my 66 ... looks pretty slick.
They call it a "Surefit" kit.

The pictures in the installation manual give you a pretty good idea of what it will look like.
