my cast aluminum tripower intake needed a stud for the back carb. brings me to question what is used on the threads (anti-seize?) of the steel stud. also, any info on torque specs for mounting the intake to the 292 block?
You can use antiseize but you must then torque the stud or it will always turn out instead of the nut. I use low strength blue loctite to seal the stud and prevent corrosion, just remember to heat it with a torch when it come time to remove it. The stud should be bottomed finger tight and then preloaded in the torqued position, this can be done when you install the carb with no extra fuss.
