I'm working on a '46 Chevy Panel truck and have some small pin holes in one rear fender and in the front air deflector(?)in front of the radiator and want to fill them with lead instead of plastic or cuttin it out and replacing the metal. First will pure lead solder work for this small an area? And what should I use behind it when putting the lead in? A wood block would burn and I think it would stick if I used a piece of metal just to keep it from running thru the hole. I'm not very good with body work so I can use all the help I can get.

Thanks :D
