(NOTE: i'm referring to the Outside of the axle flange to outside of the housing end)

What is the amount of axle hangout for a 12 bolt?

Is this generally the same for all 12 bolts?


2) If you use c-clip eliminators, does this change the amount of hangout.

When I was building and narrowing rear ends every day I used 2 3/4 inch for the axle hang out on the GM rear ends. C clip eliminators shouldn't change it. If you are wanting to know because of a disc brake conversion you need to know that disc brakes usually will not work with c clip eliminators.

Mainly wanting to know for measuring purposes (need reference points to know where to locate ladder bar brackets etc.)

Is there a part on the axle, near the flange, that doesn't allow the axle to be pushed any further in/or a bearing can't be pressed on any further?

Not on a stock 12 bolt axle.

12 bolt car and 12 bolt truck are different.
Wilwood has bolt on kits for use with c-clip eliminators, or you can do the oval track thing and use a welder on bracket.
Make sure the diameter of the axle flange that goes into the rotor hat is correct.
