thank you all, I decided not to deal with the BOP rearend conversion. I have someone offering a Dana 80 posi rear, has anyone dealt with putting that into a 69 camaro?

Dana 80 has floating axles, is VERY heavy and way more than what you need. The Dana 60 woudl be a much better swap.

Just run a explorer 8.8 with modified tubes and shafts to fit your wheelbase.

Light, cheap, strong, disc, and well documented. I am sure you can find a write up or build thread on your model and close year showing you what they did and headaches they faced saving you from encountering them.

If you are more into handling I would keep the standard rear end. They take turns so much better then the posi. Frankly I have little use for a posi on a non drag car.

thank you sir, i wasn't aware of the explore 8.8, does that come standard with limited slip?
