Gee it must me my turn for a bad day. First I locked the keys in my car at work, then a bad day at work then I figured I go out for a ride in the rod and I run out of gas in the middle of a busy intersection. This gauge and sender is made by Classic Instuments. It's always been right on for reading accurate. It says 1/4 tank and it was bone dry. What is the correct way to test if the sender is screwing up or the gauge is faulty. I could use the 1/4 mark as empty but I like things to work properly. Thanks

Look at the bright side..NO FIRE...right?? That should make you smile!! There is a possibility that the tank still has gas in it and can't be picked up the way you have the tank mounted...CK the tank for level/square!! Side to side and back and forward like a big box!!
