I am putting together a two battery system. I need battery one to start the car and runs a smaller electrical system (headlights, interior lights, etc), while battery two run an electrical system (stereo, etc).
So I got an optima yellowtop battery and a surepower battery isolator. But they sent me the wrong isolator. It has only three posts, one for the isolator, and two for the batterys. But on the back it says that I need a different isolator because of the exciter. Will I still be able to use it without running the risk of draining battery one?
