Does anyone make one of these that isn't bushed? I have a set of forged 427 pistons that are not meant to be used as full floating but am having a hard time finding an h beam rod for these. I'm looking for a rod that can handel about 900hp. I would like to be able to use these pistons because they were fairly expensive.

Do your pistons have the snap ring groove in the pin bore???

I have never seen the "H" beam rods in a pressed version( due to there intended use), But i don't have a catalog in front of me to look them up. You might want to try and call a rod manufacturer and see if they can make you a set up with a pressed pin. I would think it would be more cost effective to put the snap ring groove in the pitons though.....

What brand of pistons are they??? I cannot remember see a set of high dollar pistons with out the grooves in the pin bore????

Why couldn't you take the bronze bushing out of the rod and press in a smaller diameter bushing of some sort and then use your press in wrist pins? To me that seems like the cheapest solution. I have never done this but, it seems simple and should be possible. Just a thought, I have never seen a H-beam rod that was made for press in wrist pins either.
