I have a 66 chevelle 396 big block with autometer gauges and dual be cool electric fans. They wont work on the same temp sensor unit. Do they make one that works both? The only other option that I can think of is to take out the by pass hose between the water pump and the intake manifold. Plug the water pump hole off and hook the heater hose in the intake manifold. Put both sensors on top of the intake manifold. Is it ok to remove the by pass hose? Will this wook and be ok? thanks nick66.

Keep the bypass.

All you need to do is get a water outlet thermostat neck with a sender hole in it. Or you can make a piece of pipe with a sender hole in it to splice into your upper or lower radiator hose. Depending how yours is calibrated.

Put the gauge sender in the manifold if that is where it is recommended, and the fan switch in the radiator hose.

improvise, adapt, overcome, semper fi
