Well, as stated, it's been a long time since I posted here. Lot has happened since then. Done a lot of racing, moved back to Colorado from Florida, and am working on wrapping up my career in the next year or so. On the car side of the house, if you recall, I did an alky injection conversion on my dragster. Well, it went well. Overall the car picked up .3 in et and 60' times went from an average of 1.12-1.16 to .996-1.02 depending on where I was at....I've also recorded a 7.07 on motor when I originally first started testing it after the switch, and a best on the mountain at Bandimere speedway of 7.32 @ 182 mph in 9800ft of air. Now, fast forward to this year. Didn't plan on doing a whole lot of racing, but did go out for a heads up event, paid per round deal. Six runs over the weekend, final run bad things happened. Broke a connecting rod and ended my season...Oh well, it happens, had planned on pulling engine down after that race anyway, just wasn't expecting to have to fix broken stuff. That being said, I had planned some upgrades to the combo and now the process has started. I'm switching from a 12* spread port head to a 9* deal. There is a HUGE difference in the two heads, and I should see a substantial gain from it. New custom built intake as well, new cam, going back to steel rods from aluminum, and a few other changes. Ain't cheap, but going fast never is....I'll post more when I have more to post!

Glad you're back. It would be nice to see some pictures of race action if you get a chance. Sorry about your mishap, but as you said, those things come when you're trying to go faster. Good luck with the new engine!

More to post!! Some eye candy for you all to drool over! Got a call from Matt at MBE on tuesday, these pics were from then. One head just came off CNC after completing Op1, the second was going on as we were on the phone....Op2 they will get seats installed, guides installed, and get final porting and chamber work. Once the valves get there, they will valve job the heads and ship everything to me but the rockers. Wait time on valves at time of order was approx 10-12 weeks, and rockers was approx 20 weeks. That may change but I won't see the heads until December, and rockers until about Jan or possibly Feb....anyway, enjoy!

Well, I've been told all I'm waiting on is for intake to get finished. So I'm guessing valves came in as did rockers.....Still no word on rods, gonna send a message today for an update, and gonna order pistons tomorrow....They want a chamber mold but MBE has the digital file they need and would make with my mold anyway, plus they have that already on file as well....So getting closer......

Not real impressed with JE's finish quality, but they will get the job done. Next order will be back to my original supplier though. These will need some finish work before going into my engine. I haven't heard of anybody having issues with them, but for what they cost, they can be finished a lot better than they are...

Well, got the rest of my parts in today but intake had to go back. They didn't put a distributor provision in it, didn't add a water crossover with t stat provision in it, and the bungs for injection and nitrous were supposed to be 90* but they installed annular instead. So they said they can't fix the water provision because they can't reach it to weld, but will fix the bungs and distributor provision.. I just hope it doesn't take them another five months....ugh....but here's some pics of the new hardware......
