I recently ordered some head gaskets for my Mark IV 454 block and noticed that the shape of one of the coolant passages and the shape of the accompanying hole in the are different.
I've heard about gaskets not having all the necessary holes depending on the block, but i couldn't find anything on if the holes are different shapes/misaligned.

Will this cause a problem?
Did i order the wrong gaskets?

You will be fine.
On the Mark IV engine the most important part of the head gasket coolant flow wise is that the front of the engine/heads is blocked off forcing the coolant as it enters from the water pump to be forced along the bottom of the block coming up at the rear and then back through the heads to the thermostat housing.
As the coolant flows along the bottom side of the block coolant is directed up to the heads via the small coolant holes.
Hope this explanation is not to confusing.
