All,
I have been trying to find info on changing the bolt pattern of my Opel GT front hubs (4x100mm to 5X4.5). I can't afford to swap out the front-end for a MII. I can have a 2 piece wheel adapter built, but this will change my width. Is it feasible to weld up the holes in the wheel hub, and drill a 5x4.5 pattern, and install new studs? Any ideas will gladly be accepted.
Thanks,
AngliaBob

A good machine shop (or tool and die) should be able to do it. Also check with the axle people. Moser in Indiana used to do custom bolt patterns. I used to do them, but my machinery is down, getting ready for a move.

:p Yes, a good machineshop can redrill wheels for you depending on how much room to have work with. I have a guy locally who will redrill wheels for $5 a hole. I'm going to have him do a set of Mustang wheels for my Spitfire. One other thing, a friend of mine owns a tire and has of more than a couple of times ordered in "blank" wheels. Good luck!:p
