bolt pattern changing

Ok guys, here's a good problem for you...

in 1996 I bought my wheels for my truck and put them on the shelf... today I took them down and mounted the tires to put them on... first one o.k. second one had the wrong bolt pattern.. it's a chevy wheel.. and I need a 4.5" ford pattern.

I called the mfg and the wheel is no longer made and they can offer no option other than fill the holes and redrill for the right pattern...

first I don't know if there is enough meat in the center to do that the way the wheel is made...it's kinda of a swirl spoke wheel...

second... where can you find someone who can do this and give me a true running wheel ???

to say I'm upset is an understatement...

any takers ????

If they are some wheels that you absolutely must use you can either advertise for a wheel like it, check out some places that sell wheels and maybe just maybe they have one that was a display. Call a few wrecking yards around and see what you can come up with. Check swap meets. Post a pic on here and maybe someone can help you out. And worse come to worse if it goes on the front maybe the rotor can be drilled for the bastard pattern. The only thing that would do though is put a stop to tire rotation. Personally from all the options I'd either redrill or post a pic and see if some of us members can help you out.

that them to a machine shop and have them sloted and matched to the rims that fit. then run a universal lug nut on that rim other wise it may work the lugs loose and fall off

I understand the slotting part...

don't know what a universal lug nut is thought ???

it is where the machine shop will cut a 1/8" deep slot for the washer to set in to insure that the lug nug is seated all the way. Hate to see anyone lose a wheel going down the road.
you can also try one other place it is in El Paso Texas called Tops Tire and Wheel they have a lot of rims that are not made anymore for cheap prices.

there are alot of places that sell adapters. you can change lug space, or change from 5 lug to 4, spo many posibilities

that was what I thought too, if you have the space in your fenders to move the wheels out about an inch or maybe even less, you can get wheel spacers with whateve bolt pattern you need.

to keep it balanced with the wheels all out at equal points, you could have spacers made for the ford wheels, and then spacer/adapters made for the ford wheel/wheels...I would think this would be the easiest route, especially if you don't have enough wheel to drill out.

there are a bunch of guys that advertise on ebay, but wheeladapters.com is one of the best for the money from what I understand.
