Do you guys know if anyone makes adapters for brake lines from metric to standard? I have a pontiac Fiero master cylinder which is metric and 84 Cadillac calipers which are standard.

Tooling

It might be the ticket to look for the tooling to cut and flare brake lines and make a line with the Pontiac fitting on one end and the Caddy fitting on the other end..Or does that make 2 much sense..maybe there is a parts store in your area that makes up brke lines and they could do this for you..

Proper tools

I think it is a matter of having the proper tools for the job at hand and the confidence to do it..we do make up lines all the time for replacements..

Now the cheapy tubing flare tool probably will not do ..you will need to get the correct tooling for this job..course once you have the tooling you will never have to buy a premade brake line again..Grinn..

Brake lines use a double flare so do your shooping at the usual suspects for that type of tool..

practice a bit untill you get a good crimp on the flares and you should be fine..
