Is it possible to bypass a distributor module? I was told that I colud but wasn't sure how to do it or what gauge wire I would need if I even need wire to bypass it. The car is just a pit beater/ice racer so it does not need to pass a highly detailed tech or safety inspection.

If I understand you,only if you install a breaker point distributor.

I've never seen a HEI distributor module by-passed. Why would you want to? Are you having problems with your ignition?

crappy car, replaced the module and it works, car started before with timing out 37 degrees but won't start now, figured that if the module blew up again i could just bypass it like some suggested i do in the first place. If u guys can't give any sugestions, no problem don't worry about it.
