Hey guys. I have a small block chevy that Im building and have been pulling my hair out trying to decide on a cam so I though Id seek some opinions. Below is a list of things done to the motor. It is a street car that I will take to the track on the weekends. Any help would be much apreciated.

Fresh SBC bored .030 over
Stock cast flat top piston/cast crank/stock rods (10.5:1??)
Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake
Edelbrock Performer RPM Cylinder heads (64cc)
Holley 670 street avenger carb
Headers
Magnaflows
MSD 6AL box/MSD distributor

Why don't you just buy the camshaft that Edelbrock has developed for the heads and intake? You have heard of their "Performer RPM" package, haven't you?

Yeah I have heard of the top end packages but havent heard great things about there cams.....well what I read online anyway.

I have the the Edelbrock RPM cam in mine with a nearly identicle set up. LOVE the cam! Everybody hears me coming, and when I drop the hammer its a sweet sweet ride>

Its a 72 celica. Weight is 2500 lbs. 4 speed manual trans. 411 gears.

Whats the idle sound like Spacytracy??

Change of plans.......Untill I flip flop again :>) AFR has a dyno tested combo on there site. The bonus is they use a Comp Magum 270H cam and I have a brand new one that I wasnt going to use. Figure use the money I was going to spend on a cam and spend it on better heads...What do you guys think?? Combo makes 430HP @ 5500 and 470 ft lbs @ 4500

How accurate do you guys think those specs are??
