Did the Chevy Camaro ever come with a 4.3L? I have been told that it did but I can't find any info on it anywhere. If they did what year was the 4.3 in.

they never came with a 4.3, who ever told you that may be thinking about the 3.4 which they did come with starting in 93 and ending in 95.
they also used the 2.8 V-6 up to 89, and 3.1 V-6 from 90 - 92.
Um years back picked upi a Camaro with a blown V6 for the old man, it was an '81. I could swear it was a 4.3 but probablt the 229ci Car is still around so I'm a check the VIN.

It was the 229 V6, 3/4 of a 305- in more ways than one, unfortunately.

I had one ('81 Camaro w/229, that is), used the car for a bunch of V8 swaps.

4.3Ls were truck engines
And boat engines. And Monte Carlo engines, as well as Impala/Caprice and Pontiac Parisienne and Grand Prix engines. And El Camino/GMC Caballero engines.

To name a few.
