I am about to mount my hydraulic slave cylinder (push style) on my mopar 383 a-833 4 speed. Due to space limitations, the cylinder will rest extremely close to the steering u-joint. If I mount the slave to the bellhousing to keep the movement of the clutch fork and slave cylinder together, the slave cylinder will contact the u-joint. First off, approximately how much in inches can a motor/tranny flex in inches? Could there be an issue with mounting the slave to the frame, considering the connection in the cylinder is just a spherical rod end, allowing for movement in all directions? Then the slave will not contact the u-joint, but the clutch fork will flex independent of the slave cylinder.
