I just bought a 1967 Rambler Rebel, and I want to take a look at the brakes but can't get any of the drums off (it has drums up front too). They are seized to the hub (in the center). I tried WD-40, propane torch, and a mallet. Any tips/ideas?

Get some better penetrating oil and a bigger hammer. Failing that, you may need more heat........accetelyne.

yeah try a better oil like PB blaster or Kroil.. and take your time to.. let the oils work...

I usually use some PB blaster and a hammer which I hit the drums with inbetween the wheel studs.

does the vehicle run? Loosen the lug nuts (and/or bearing nut for the front, if applicable) just a few turns. Drive a few feet in forward and reverse. The abrupt movements and oil should pop your drums in no time. Start out easy at first and then move on to a harder hit if you don't have any luck right away. Don't loosen the nuts too much. With this procedure, when the drums pop, they really pop. Good luck

Kroil and a BFH are my favorite tools.
Remember, as my boss used to say, "Don't force it! Get a bigger hammer."
That sounds funny but big, heavy hammers transmit a good deal of shock and that's what it takes to loosen rust.
