OK, so it is not a hot rod, it is my buddy's '59 Cadillac...
The car is all stock, except a Ride Tech air suspension all around. Factory stock single-circuit MC with factory stock booster.
For the last year or so, this car pulls hard to the right when braking.
Brakes have been bled several times by different people;
Drums have been adjusted several times by different people;
Air has been blown through the front brake lines and hoses;
Rubber brake hose are new.
Pros and knowledgeable hobbyists have looked at the car.
Nothing has any effect.
My buddy is getting frustrated (he is also getting used to it!), where else can he look??? What else could be the problem???

When you say the Rubber brake hoses are new do you mean that they have been changed since the fault first occurred. Has your buddy checked the wheel cylinder on the left hand side to make sure it is not sticking

Are the shoes mounted correctly on the side pulling, long and short shoe need to be installed in the proper order.

Try this for hard pull to the right

I have delt with this problem on numerous occasions. Here has been my experience. If the car pulls hard to the right, 99% of the time the problem is on the left hand side. Jack the front of the car up and start spinning first the right wheel and then the left wheel while someone gradually pushes the brake pedal down. I think what you will find is that the right wheel stops before the left one does but check it to see what happens. Then have someone push the brake pedal down a little, a medium amount, then all the way to the floor and see what happens with each wheel as you spin it. On the wheel that spins the easiest, disconnect the brake line, have someone push the brake pedal down and see if you have a strong stream of brake fluid coming out of the line. If you do not, you most likely have an obstruction between the flex hose and the master cylinder, or you may have a defective brake hose. New does not absolutely mean its good. If you get a strong stream of brake fluid coming out of the brake line then you have narrowed the problem down to the caliper or wheel cylinder in most cases. I have seen people disconnect brake lines from the master cylinder and wheel cylinder and let the brake line be free only to collect trash on the end, then without realizing it, push that trash back into the brake line when they re connected it, causing problems later.

Yes, the rubber hoses were changed after the problem occurred, they were of unknown age, and he thought it could be the issue. It was not.

Are the shoes mounted correctly on the side pulling, long and short shoe need to be installed in the proper order.
Good point, I have already heard of this, but not in detail. What is the correct way, which shoe goes where?

Thanks for the answers, guys, I will get in touch with him and see what he says of your suggestions, he only has time to work on his gars on week ends, I will keep you posted!

Look for contaminated brake shoes first. Ones that have has grease or brake fluid on them will be grabby. Shake down the front end too. I'd be primarily interested in the upper control arm bushings, but look at the tie rods and ball joints too.

Interesting point, checking the front end was going to be his next step, thanks!
