I restore cars mainly mopar muscle cars, however I also restore others as well. I recently purchase a 1948 1/2 ton chevy thriftmaster, all original one owner. I am going to make this my shop truck. I just retired, the name of my business is mopar muscle mania. I am currently restoring a 4 speed 1970 super bee pillar car, a 1968 charger, another 1970 super bee. a 1973 dart spert 4 speed car, a 1964 twin stick rambler, one of 13 plus I have a few more projects to keep me busy for a long time to come. I need any info on the 1948 chevy thriftmaster. Thanks Rick

Welcome to the site rick leonard. :welcome: I had a 51 five window a few years back with a 350/400 combo. There are several members building AD pickups, suburbans and panels on this site. Check out the Project Journals section of the site for the members builds. As well use the Knowledge Base and the search function for quick answers to your questions. Here are just a few ot the links I have collected over the years:

Nice collection there! If you need any info on the Twin Stick setup let me know. Lots of vacuum and electric switchse there! It shifts 1-2-2OD-3-3OD. There's a big gap between 2nd and 3rd so that it can shift five forward gears -- just not real fast. All the controls have to be working or you'll blow the OD out of it.
