Here I sit again, spending the whole day calling a bunch of numbers trying to arrange cross-country shipping for a car.

There must be an easier way to find a car shipper, does anybody have any suggestions?

Shipping

Have you looked into cargo containers..I lease a container from a local company and they will ship it anywhere for me..even overseas and help with the paperwork..surely there muct be somone in Iowa who has containers and who does frieght forwarding..Most cars that I know of will go into a container and they do have the tie down points that you will need..

Have you shopped Hemmings?

I always look to Hemmings Motor News when I get stuck...parts or anything to do with automotive you have to CK them out.

Thanks tm454, I had not thought of that so I took your suggestion and checked them out and now I have emailed a bunch of transporter advertisers from Hemmings and I have a whole new crop of numbers to call.
