Hello all, I have a kinda weird question. I have a 1975 Gas Mercedes, DOHC inline 6. Motor is good but the Carb is crap. It is way more complex than it needs to be. It is an old 4bl solex model. I am thinking about making an adapter plate, and then mounting a 600 cfm carb. Before I start tearing things apart, do you think this is a good or bad idea? Can it be done? Thanks for the suggestions people. :thumbup:

You are right. The engine is only a 2.7L, wonder if I should go with a 500 CFM edlebrock, that still might be a little overkill. Opinions? I have no idea what cfm the solex carb was.
