when looking for new carburetor for my 1987 caprice 5.7L350 be it holley,edelbrock when i find what i want they all say non egr and not for use on computer-controlled vehicles.whats the deal with this, in other words are they telling me that they don't make an aftermarket carb for my application,or am i missing something :confused:

They have to say that because it is technically illegal to modify or disable your emissions equipment.

I don't know what your car was running from the factory.. Q jet I would guess if it was carbed,

What their saying is, if you have an egr or computer controled engine, they won't work because the carb your looking at is not designed to work with it.
Most holley's and edelbrocks are desinged for performance applications.
Now if you toss the EGR intake and computer controls that's a different story. :thumbup:
