My name is Mike, I live in the foothills of northern CA.
Current project is a 48 Chevy p/u.
from the front, it's 48-54 GMC with a 1962 Chrysler Newport Grill.
Lowered, no top, lot's of custom work.

anyway, my carburetor seems a bit odd, by odd I mean this.
It has a sticker "Carter competition series"
Top-drivers-rear has the number 8867 this refers to Weber Carbs
The number on the bottom-passenger-front does not conform to Carter or Edelbrock numbers.

the number is 950BS 0881

any ideas?

From old Jegs Catalog, 9503= 500cfm Manual Choke, Competition Series
May or May not help??

Thanks, but the number isn't 9503, it's 950B. B as in bravo.
I've tried EBAY, Jegs,Summit, Edelbrock, Carter, Weber and nothing matches.
I've tried all the suggestions I found on this great board, it's my luck to have an odd ball.
My carb looks just like the Edelbrocks and Carters, but it's a mystery.
Garage firing it runs fine, haven't put it on the ground yet. Lot's of little things to do.

I mis-quoted the carb number, I took it off and clearly the number is 9503 not 950B.
