Yes, it has to be administrator-approved. Occasionally I approve these -- mostly for newer members, misspellings, members with usernames very similar to other members, people who accidentally entered their full name as their username, etc. The issue is, I don't want to set a precedent for doing it, because then people will want to change their names often, which ends up being very confusing for everyone.
Is there a specific reason you were hoping for a name change? Let me know.
The reason I want to change it is because I have several different names for different forums and email accounts and I'm wanting to make them all uniform. The name isn't that different from my current one. Also I would have just changed my email to '60buickrod but my e-mail provider woudn't let me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx, GMH
