I have an old 1980 GMC pickup 1/2 ton 2wd as my daily driver and the front coil springs have sagged and lowered the front significantly not to mention it had already been low to begin with.

I really want to raise the front about two inches and i was curious about a cheap way to do it.

I could put spring spacers in their,

or i heard of people jacking the truck up to where they wanted and heating the coils to let them sag a little, it seems that heating the coils would ruin the ride but if it works.......

just curious, any help would be great

Only way is new springs....heating the springs even when hanging will just make them worse...takes the temper out of the steel.

You could put rubber air conditioning spacers in them......look like donuts with a groove in them, but by the time you take it apart to get them in, you will wish you had opted for the springs.
