[Hopper]

Hello every one. I am new to the fourm and I am look to make a cheep metal bender for my shop. I am currantly working on my Sons 82 Capri Black Majic and need to bend some metal for the floor and to dress up under the hood.

Cheap Sheet Metal Bender

:thumbup: Well, its not as cool as New Interiors(real nice Randy) I use two pieces of angle iron about 3 feet long in my big bench vise. Get metal marked and positioned between the angle iron, tighten it up, get the bend started by hand, the use my big rubber mallet(about 3 lbs) to get the final bend. I've used this method to fabricate lots of custom brackets, sheet metal covers, etc. If you bend it out slow and move side to side you can do alot with the angle iron bender. You did say "cheap". olnolan

Thats real interesting, think I might have enough steel around to make one. thanks for the ideas. any others would be welcome.
