First time user, I have a 67 Chevelle Malibu with a 327 and the seller said it came with a " Corvette engine and pointed to the double hump heads, would someone explain this to me
the double hump you are refering to indicates the type of head yopu have which is most commonly found on the corvette but it does not mean you have a vette engine because that head fits on all older model chevy v - 8 engines.... to be sure that its a vette engine look on the passenger side of the engine behing the alternator on the engie block deck you will find a number take it to your gm dealer and most of them can tell you what block it is and what car it came in
Yes and using the same number stamped on the deck you can check on a Chilton's book for the original application, tranny used, compression, power level etc.
