i own a 1972 21 foot starcraft with a chevy 250 inline 6

(standard motor that was in a 1972 camaro i believe)

where can i find any parts for that motor standard to performance parts.. any sites or anything? i cant find much

Try Clifford Performance 6=8, they specialize in inline 6 performance.

Chieftan was a starcraft cabin cruiser model in the early 70's.. My faimily had a '73 Starcraft Chieftan mark 5 for about 8 years, sold it 4 years ago

oh sorry i didnt realize that was a model. its actually a i/o holiday. doesnt have a cabin. has a closed bow. its all aluminum and weighs 1600 dry. its pretty fast because of the power/weight ratio

IIRC there the same hull/ powerplants as the Chieftan... I know the Chieftan's model up engine was the 250 and the base engine was the 181 CI 4cyl, and the top end engine was a 350. our Chieftan topped out at 55 MPH on plane with the 4cyl, and was 21' aluminum .. but it was easy to trim it out and give it full throttle and it would put the bow wayy up in the air, looked goofy but always fun

try a diffrent pitched prop b4 any engine mods, it might supprise you what it does... being a light boat, that should really help
