i have an 230 chevy and i have the dress code but i cant figure out how to decode it it is CE1A06823. Can anyone help me decode this?

is this the suffix pad stamping code from next to the distributor base ??


should be two or three letters following the code
not in front of it

hence the meaning of engine "suffix" code

i could look up the engine suffix stamping code letters.

i found out what it is. Its a 1970 230 warranty engine i was having trouble because the block casting number was for a 250 but i appreciate the help
