i have a 72 chevelle, that has a 406 chevy small block in it. it has 6in scat rods with 2.02 heads. apx450-500hp, and i am planning on putting a supercharger on it over the winter and need to know the maximum amount of compression i can have to run one.

Your question is a little to vague. CR depends on the heads you are running, fuel, and boost level.

Here's a similar question.. My engine is 10.0:1, Dart pro1 aluminum heads, JE custom dished nitrous pistons, 4340 bottom end. I was thinking with an intercooler I could run about 15psi, but I wouldn't mind running more than that. I also don't mind running race gas all the time, I pretty much do anyways. I want to run a Procharger F1r kit. The engine has a solid roller blower turbo cam (114lsa) .575 lift, 252, 262 @50.... Do you think I could run more than 15psi with this setup??? Thanks... :thumbup:

im not sure how many cc the heads are, it has flat top pistons with 10.5:1 compression ratio. could i run any kind of supercharger with these pistons or would i have to get different ones
