i am trying to look for a chrome timing chain cover for a 1969 302 motor i have found lots of chevy and dodge ones ,but a gentleman has said that they dont make them for ford but i find this hard to belive even tho my resources keep coming up with nothing
can anyone help me with a site or catalog and price range thank you for your help

That piece is aluminum....why not clean it up and polish it. That, along with the water pump.

You know a chevy engine will fit in there and they make everything chrome for those. No seriously if you really want it chrome go buy another cover and send it out to be chromed. We used to send our motorcycle covers out to be chromed years ago and they looked great. With the epa and chrome being toxic the price might be up there. I would get a quote first. Or as poncho62 said polish it. I have dove many parts like that using Simichrome Metal Polish and they will look very close to chrome.

You can chrome just about any metal, including aluminum. All Harley cases are aluminum and they chrome them. Go find yourself a chroming shop. They usually do better work than buying chrome parts. I chromed my Harley tank and fenders. It was actually cheaper than a paint job.

I try to stay away form chrome in the engine compartment. I polish up the aluminum pieces and paint everything black. It helps reduce underhood temps. a little.
