 I have a 68 firebird and I want to put a complete bumper to bumper frame under the car. I want the body to bolt on. I Dont want to cut out all of the floor board...as little as possible. I know that I will cut out part of the rear for the tubs...any suggestions???

Randy,

Check out these two current threads:

http://www.hotrodders.com/t54129.html

The first deals with what sounds like a prostreet Nash. Nashes had unibodies, so a lot of the info may be useful.

The second deals with a project i'm contemplating regarding putting a frame under an Allante. Some of that info might be useful too.

Also, you might want to use google to see what some of the 80's Mustang guys are doing to tie together their front and rear subframes. From what I recall, it doesn't involve cutting lots of the floor, but it does involve some to run braces between the two subframes. A lot of that should be applicable to your Firebird.
