Hi!
Can anyone recommend a master cylinder conversion from power disc brakes to non power disc brakes. I want to get rid of the booster and go manual instead of adding one of those vacuum assist devices? I have a 68 Cougar and am having trouble identifying the correct MC to replace the one I have.

Look into a master cylinder for a 74 Maverick with manual discs/drums. Alot of Mustang guys use that piece for non-power discs. If the 4 speed pedals I have for my 70 Cougar weren't for a power setup, I'd be using it because I'm worried I'm going to have vacuum issues from my motor combination and I might need to run a can.

It depends on what pedal assembly and front calipers you have.

The Maverick master is an excellent choice with a manual drum-brake pedal ratio, and a disc conversion to 2 5/8" calipers.

It wont work so well with OE 2 3/8" calipers, and it wont work at all with a power brake pedal ratio.
