i have 350 motor in 71 monte carlo the coolant temp sensor for gauge is in the head but its like 2 inches away from header can this effect the temp by giving false readings?...........................help help.....should i move it to intake?

I would leave it there, folks have been running them there for years with headers. I wouldn't think the outside exhaust temps would effect the probe. I feel that is a more accurate location than the intake.

Yup, no worries. That sensor is being constantly bombarded with huge flow from water, so it wouldn't affect the temp reading any measurable amount.
