I have been told different opinions on the crossmember from a backhalf kit that the bend in the crossmember should go up to allow room for the driveshaft and also rearend movement.I also have pics of other tubbed vehicles that show it going down. I would think down would be the right way but is there going to be room for the driveshaft and rearend play(up/down) without bottoming out the shaft??Anyone can help here????thanks

I always put the cross-member with the bend down and make a driveshaft loop for it above the bend. make sure you offset the bend to coincides with the driveshaft and transmmission offset so the driveshaft does do hit it. Hope this helps you out good luck on your project.

Im taking that the crossmember is supposed to be in the down position as the floor hump will be enough room for the drive shaft and the shaft should not hit the crossmember as the rearend flexes???
