custom exhaust for 36 ford coupe

i'm building a 1936 ford 3 window coupe with sbc on an original frame. i'm in vermont so it's not like were near a big city and can get anything you want made.

my problem is i have a set of hedders and i need a custom exhaust. yes any muffler shop can bent up regular steel pipe, what i want is all stainless steel 2 1/4" pipe. one guy close to here said he could do it but man he wants $20 per foot hummm lets see there are two sides on a sbc at about, well you know smeems quite high.

have any of you folks done this or have an idea if this cost is right?

thanks bomo

Hi Bomo
Just had a custom exhaust done on a 37 sedan, all the way from the headers to the tips 2 1/2 inch pipe all the way back custom bent with their mufflers or yours, price was good. where in vermont are you this place is in saratoga springs NY.
Hi Bomo,

Do you really need stainless?, ever thought about Jet Hot coating?, it looks good on a street rod and it's a lot cheaper....Something to think about...

Hey Bomo,
I didn't realize I pushed the wrong buttom, I went back and set it up to get e-mail. I sent you a note. I have my receipt right here and the total job was $ 350.00 aluminum coated pipe 2 1/2 inch all the way back welded. and they do a nice neat job.
