Fiberglass top, can I place my interior directly on it?

My jeep has a fiberglass top and I want to put a custom interior on the iside of the top. I was just wondering if would be able to glue the foam and material directly to the inside of the top or would I have to make a headliner for it? If I have to make a headliner for it what would you all suggest I use to make it? I appreciate all your help.

Buy one from JC Whitney and install it. I am sure there are books out there on installing interiors..I don't have one so if you find on we will both be happy I can always use another book!!!

Thanks for the words of wisdom, however I am one of those stubborn people who dont care to spend 200 for one that I could make for less.
