Can anyone tell me if a 3 3/4 offset wheel fits under the fenders of a '37 chevy? I can pursage a set for a reasonable amount but I want to be shure they fit under it before I spend some money...

Your going to have to bolt them to the axle and see if they clear. That's the only way to be sure.

I was afraid I would get that answer...as the wheels are 200 miles from my home, I don't feel much for a wasted trip

Do you have a wheel that fits now? If so pull it off and measure the backspace with a ruler. Lay the rim facedown and lay a straight edge across the back of the rim. Measure from the back of the bolt face to the bottom of the straight edge. That is how much backspace you have.

Short and wide, short and narrow, tall and wide or tall and skinny.
Do you have disc brakes?
What bolt pattern do you have?
