Does anybody know who/which shop may have built this 700R4 ?

Just bagged a 700R4 with MD8 case and 30 spline. I read somewhere that a tailshaft with two horizontal bolt holes in it comes from a GM Diesel truck.

Thanks, Guys..

The stamped numbers were obviously done after painting. Has anyone ever seen these codes ?

Your "codes" are stamped on the passenger side of the trans at the rear right above the pan.

the f body has 3 holes for the torque arm the 2 hole is from a van they used a weight that bolted to it

Thanks, Brad... I know about the "regular" codes on the pan flange, but these were added later in the top of the case just in front of the tailshaft mount. Just thought somebody may have run across a rebuilder who may be putting their own codes in the case to show what's in there...The rebuilder MAY be in Houston, but that's just a guess...

Any Houston guys on here ???

Thanks.
