Hope someone can help. 36 Ford 5 window coupe. Are the top and bottom hinges mounted in the same direction? One piece of each hinge is relatively flat while the other piece has a curve to it. I know the curve side mounts on the outside of the door but does the curve side go to the front of the car on each hinge, to the rear on each hinge or do the alternate - top hinge to the rear, bottom to the front?...

As I remember the curve goes into the other half of the hinge. But you can trail fit it, just put the pin in without flaring it and you can try it. How about the holes in the hinge, don't it have a hole for a flat head screw (bolt)?

If its the same as a '37 hinge, the side that goes on the body has countersunk holes on the face side for the screws that attach it to the body.
