I have a '67 Fairlane with a 351W mated to a T-5 with the stock '67 bellhousing and the MDL adaptor plate. I need a driveshaft for it and have a couple of questions. Has anybody made this exact switch and is there a stock driveshaft that will fit? I'm not thinking a stock driveshaft is going to work so I also need to know a good place to go for a custom made driveshaft and an idea of what I can expect to pay.

if you can't find a shaft to fit, get long one that fits either or both ends
it's very cheap to shorten a drive shaft vs buying everything new
gm has U-joints that cross over sizes, don't know if ford does

If there's a truck repair shop in the area, many can make shafts or know someone's who can. I have a chev front yoke on a ford shaft...

Do you have a shaft from 67 Fairlane? Does the T5 have a yoke?
You would need to identify those U-joints as to series. Most likely a 1310 or 1330 spicer. The T5 should have a slip yoke. Bottom out this yoke then pull it out 1-1/4" . Measure from centerline of yoke to centerline of opposite yoke with cross aligned.
