when swapping the stock drums with a stock disc rear end do I need to use a different per portion valve in a 1991 s10 with a 350 400 turbo

Yes I would suggest finding one off of a camaro,or firebird 84-2000 with 4-wheel disk they are plentiful and are the simple to adapt to your application and are also close to the weight of your app.

that is unless you can get the one off the vehical the rear came from

You will need an adjustable proportioning valve as the factory valves will not have the correct bias front to rear..The do a et up routine on gravel until you get equal braking effort front to rear..

I got my rearend in and my timing adjusted and everything seems to be fine without changing my perportioning valve just though I would let u guys know
